CORRECTED OPINION The issue presented on appeal is whether the superior court properly granted summary judgment in favor of Borg-Warner, an
airplane engine component manufacturer, based on its Conclusion that the two-year statute of limitations, AS 09.55.580(a),
barred a wrongful death claim brought by the estate of a passenger killed in an airplane crash. Specifically, we must decide
whether the personal representatives of the estate had notice of a potential claim against Borg-Warner more than two years
before filing their complaint. We conclude, as did the superior court, that the complaint was untimely. Thus, we affirm.
